Don't use a water bottle, drink a water blob
We all know that water bottles are problem for the environment but you need hydration and can't always carry a reusable water container with you. Some London based students (industrial design students to be exact) came up with a water blob. This creation is called the Ooho and is a thin edible membrane made from brown algae and calcium chloride. How do you want to be remembered when you hit the bucket (aka pass away)? Do you want to be buried? Cremated? How about being turned into a real genuine diamond? For a fee, they will convert your (or your loved ones) cremated ashes into a timeless diamond that can be turned into jewellery and passed down from generation to generation. Remember that a "real" diamond is nothing more than carbon exposed to incredible heat and pressure.
Is it time for red wine in a can?
Lots of food products come in cans from soups to nuts to vegetables to cola. Now you can buy real Oregon based Underwood pinot in a can. Why would they "bottle" their wine in a can you ask? They feel this beerification makes the wine more accessible, easier to transport and more approachable (less pretentious or Nigel Mastercard-like). For my eco friendly readers, Union Wine also believes this is a more eco-friendly approach and it is also const efficient for them.
