We can choose how we respond to situations and people, and no one can make us feel bad unless we permit them. Remembering this quote when we're feeling down and discouraged can help us regain control of our thoughts and feelings. It reminds us that, ultimately, we are in charge of our own lives and that no one else can determine how we feel unless we allow them to.
